TOKYO – November 9, 2023 – LY Corporation today announced that it has launched Message Summary, an AI-based message summarization feature for LINE OpenChat, integrated with Open AI's API.
LINE OpenChat, currently available in Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, provides a unique platform for users to engage in group conversations and exchange information on topics of interest or relevant to their daily lives.
But as the number of participants in chats and the volume of messages rises, the inconvenience of reading through large numbers of messages and potentially missing crucial ones becomes more common. The LINE OpenChat Message Summary was created to alleviate this issue.
The LINE OpenChat Message Summary is being gradually introduced, beginning with particular chat rooms originally marked as “Public” when they were launched and currently set to allow searching.
This feature is available to anyone who participates in the designated chat rooms. By selecting the button at the bottom right of a chat room, AI-generated summaries will be displayed, automatically updated at regular intervals.
※ Available for LINE versions 13.16.0 or higher in Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand
※ Summaries are not affected by the deletion or cancellation of messages
