■ With the listing on Gate.io, users can trade LINK with Bitcoin and Tether
SEONGNAM, South Korea – September 27, 2022 – LINE Tech Plus, a subsidiary of LINE Corporation and operator of LINE's crypto asset and blockchain-related businesses, announced today that LINE’s crypto asset LINK is coming to Gate.io, one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, beginning Sept. 28.
With this newest listing, LINK will be listed on five crypto asset exchanges: LINE BITMAX, BITFRONT, Bithumb, MEXC and Gate.io. This is the first external exchange to offer trading between LINK with Tether, in addition to offering trading in Bitcoin, and LINE plans to continue adding exchanges so that more global users can trade LINK.
Established 2013, Gate.io offers more than 1,300 crypto assets for trading and is used by more than 12 million users in 130 countries.
To celebrate the listing, LINE and Gate.io are carrying out a “Startup” event, which will give out LINK worth US$150,000 in proportion to each user’s contribution. Details regarding the event can be found on the Gate.io website (https://www.gate.io/).
The Gate.io news comes as part of LINE’s overall moves to grow its activities in the blockchain and Web3 ecosystem. LINE NEXT Inc., LINE’s venture dedicated to developing the global NFT business, recently opened the beta version of DOSI, its NFT platform.
