● Product-centric business structure expected to further grow service and expand business
TOKYO – April 2, 2018 – LINE Corporation ("LINE") and PERSOL CAREER CO., LTD. ("PERSOL CAREER") have modified their stakes in their joint venture AUBE, Ltd. ("AUBE") on April 1, 2018.
The investment ratios have changed from 49% to 60% for LINE, and 51% to 40% for PERSOL CAREER, making AUBE a consolidated subsidiary of LINE Corporation.
AUBE was established in February 2015 as a joint venture of LINE and PERSOL CAREER (formerly known as Intelligence), and launched the part-time job information service "LINE Part Time Jobs" on February 16, 2015. The service gives LINE users access to nearly 200,000 part-time job postings for positions across Japan which users can browse through and apply to, all using LINE. Features such as "Apply via LINE"—which allows recruiters and applicants to use LINE to communicate with each other throughout the hiring process—and "Offer"—which lets recruiters directly suggest job positions to potential candidates—that take advantage of LINE's greatest values have been highly acclaimed by both users and recruiters alike. As a result, the number of registered LINE Part Time Job members topped 12 million in February 2018, three years after service launch.
To further accelerate the growth and business expansion of LINE Part Time Jobs, the business structure has been shifted to enable a more product-centric approach in the development and improvement of its service, which resulted in the latest modification of the two stakeholders’ respective investment ratio. Going forward, LINE Part Time Jobs will enhance its products more than ever before to boost the growth of its service, while continuing to leverage LINE's rich user base and PERSOL CAREER's experience and sales force in the part-time job market.
Meanwhile, AUBE will continue to provide users with new touch points and fun ways to find part-time jobs as it aims to stimulate the Japanese part-time job market.
