LINE provides services in various fields around the world, including messenger—which boasts over 100 million users—as well as finance, content, and AI. A large amount of data is generated from these services every day, and currently over 250 petabytes of data have been accumulated. This data is considered a company-wide asset from the viewpoint of "Always Data-driven," which is one of the LINE STYLE. The Data Platform Department, which is the recruiting department for this position, aims to democratize data (a state in which all employees can freely use data for business growth). We started working on it around 2018 and are currently promoting the use of a Data Platform named IU (Information Universe) for internal users (service development staff and service planning staff) to collect, analyze, and utilize data.

■ What you will be doing at LINE
You will be providing a wide range of technical support from implementation to operation so that LINE service developers can fully utilize data on IU.

As a team, we mainly do the following:
1. Deliver IU products to IU users, especially service developers
2. Support the stable operation of processing such as ETL on IU
3. Respond to technical user inquiries
4. Summarize IU user requirements and deliver to IU developers
5. Collaborate with IU developers, data owners/stewards, data managers, and IU support members

■ What’s special about this position
・You will be involved in the architectural design, build construction, and operation of the data pipeline for LINE services. You will also solve related service’s data issues and directly and indirectly contribute to service improvement.
・You can work not only in a designated field, but also across organizational boundaries.
・Some services handle data from small to very large scale on a distributed environment system, and working on those will be a great advantage to build your career as a data engineer
・You can develop a career as a global human resource through collaborations with members based in overseas offices
・Since we actively incorporate the latest OSS, you will get to know those latest trends.

・Hadoop eco system - Spark/HDFS/YARN/Hive/Trino
・Distributed environment - Kubernetes/Kafka/Elasticsearch
・Streaming processing - Flink/Fluentd
・Operation/monitoring - Ansible/Grafana/Prometheus/Promgen
・Job Management - Airflow
・Development language/framework - Java/Kotlin/Scala/Python/Spring
応募資格 / Qualifications
[Required experience and skills]
・Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2)
Those who have experience in one or more of the following items:
・Experience working as a data-related engineer (machine learning engineer, data engineer)
・Over 3 years of server-side development experience
・Experience in organizing system user requests and proposing technical solutions

[Preferred experience and skills]
・Experience with roles such as big data-related technical account manager, solutions architect, platform engineer, systems engineer, cloud architect, service delivery manager, etc.
・Communication skills in Korean

専門業務型裁量労働制(1日の労働時間に関わらず1日9.5時間労働したものとみなします。)、フレックスタイム制(コアタイム 11:00~16:00)、10:00~18:30(実働7時間30分)のいずれか適用 ※面接後に決定
