2015.10.22
LINE Pay has obtained PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) certification in order to securely protect user’s credit card and transaction data.
[PCI DSS Certification]
PCI DSS is a security standard for the credit card and transaction data of credit card holders as defined by the PCI Security Standards Council, which consists of 5 global payment service providers, and regarded as a certification payment service providers should have.
PCI DSS is comprised of requirements in 6 areas that require organizations to:
- Build and maintain secure networks and systems
- Protect cardholder data
- Maintain a vulnerability management program
- Implement a robust access control system
- Regularly test and monitor networks
- Maintain an information security policy
PCI DSS Certification is classified into two types. In order to obtain PCI DSS Level 1 certification, organizations are required to meet all 12 requirements through network scan and vigorous on-site inspection by QSA (Qualified Security Assessor: a certification security evaluation organization).
[LINE Pay PCI DSS LEVEL 1 Certification]
LINE Pay has obtained PCI DSS certification through a strict verification process. This means that LINE Pay has built and implemented security equipment that allows it to protect all card data and important information securely under an environment approved by international payment service brands.
