LINE has appointed its CPO (Chief Privacy Officer) and CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) to promote various initiatives company-wide to ensure that security and privacy measures are carried out more effectively. 

■CPO/CISO

LINE has appointed its CPO and CISO to clarify the responsibility and authority for the protection of personal information and security measures at LINE Corporation and its major subsidiaries. 

The CPO and CISO coordinate an internal committee whose members include the CEO and other directors. The committee evaluates and decides on LINE  privacy and security policies and also implements measures to prevent or respond to security incidents. 

■CPO and CISO organization

The CPO and CISO organization encompasses all group companies, including LINE. This working group is in charge of speedily implementing the privacy and security policies and measures that are decided upon by management. The CPO and CISO lead this organization. It is composed of expert staff with many years of experience in handling security and privacy issues, and other individuals from various departments that are qualified in areas such as IT security, information security, government policies, and the law. 

In addition to implementing measures that have been approved by management, the organization also conducts personal information protection and security activities in various specialized fields. The organization also monitors and surveys trends, identifies underlying issues in the workplace, and provides suggestions and proposals for improvement.
