Blast off in this one-touch shoot ’em up featuring super-powered flying animals!

Tokyo, Japan – October 24, 2013 – LINE Corporation, owner and operator of the free call and messaging app LINE, announced the release of LINE Fly! ANIMAL, a new spin on the classic shoot ’em up genre. Fly! ANIMAL is an old-school shooter that allows players to move their characters with the touch of a finger while clawing for the longest flight distance. Gamers battle their way through a variety of intense stages by blowing up blocks and other obstacles while collecting Gold, the in-game currency used to purchase power-ups and other items. The gameplay itself requires only a single touch, providing an enjoyable playing experience for both children and adult gamers alike.

The factor that really sets Fly! ANIMAL apart is the unique attacks and special abilities found in the array of animals available inside the game. Once players have found the animal best suited to their playing style, the game also allows players to upgrade their character’s individual abilities, supplement their firepower, and even bring along smaller “pets” to assist their attacks.

The action continues. Players are able to rack up combos by destroying bomb-like Cores. Destroying ten in a row triggers Fever mode, a kind of turbo mode which significantly boosts the character’s firepower for a period of time. Fly! ANIMAL is loaded with a variety of features, including the “Relay Flight” feature which can be used to tag-time with another animal instead of accepting defeat after colliding with an enemy or some other obstacle.

As for the gameplay elements connected directly with LINE, players are able to use their scores to compete with their LINE friends. A separate feature lets gamers borrow their friend’s pets and use them as their own. The list of LINE-related features continues with the ability to send “Clouds,” items that serve as a sort of play ticket for the game, to friends.
