Tokyo, Japan – September 3, 2013 – LINE Corporation, owners and operators of the free calling and messaging app, “LINE”, announced that it has entered into a digital contents partnership agreement with prestigious Spanish soccer club Real Madrid, in order to further enlarge its overseas user base.
Real Madrid is a top soccer club established in 1902. Based in Madrid, Spain, it holds the impressive records of winning the UEFA Champions League nine times, and the Spanish La Liga league a total of 32 times.
Under the agreement, Real Madrid will operate an Official Account on LINE for one year. Users can add the club’s account as a friend to receive flash reports on the team’s match results, player news, and upcoming events on LINE.
LINE users will also be able to download free LINE stickers featuring the team’s popular players, simply by adding the Official Account as a friend. Paid stickers featuring the players’ various expressions and poses will also be added in the future.
