● Medan festival marks first time LINE Concert held outdoors

MEDAN, Indonesia – January 27, 2018 – LINE Indonesia continued its successful music festival series today, with the second LINE Concert taking place in Medan.
Taking place at the Medan International Convention Centre (MICC), LINE Concert Medan entertained around 3,500 LINE loyal users, giving them a rare opportunity to get closer to their favorite idols. For more than three hours, audiences enjoyed seven of the leading acts in Indonesia, including Glenn Fredly, Raisa, Kahitna, and Sheila on 7.
In keeping with the LINE Concert goal of engaging closely with audiences, organizers asked LINE users to be involved with the planning process, including choosing the city and deciding the lineup. Once Medan was selected, LINE also worked with users of all ages in Medan to create a unique concert experience. One major result of those interactions was the decision to hold this event at an outdoor venue, a first for the LINE Concert series.

A range of special events and installations were prepared to maximize the fun for concertgoers, including having the iconic Mega Brown on hand to greet everyone at the entrance of the venue. Once the show started, the audience got to explore many aspects of the LINE universe, with favorite features like LINE Today, LINE Live, LINE Square, and LINE stickers incorporated into the music performances. In addition, special collaborations between Kahitna and Glenn Fredly, as well as Raisa and Sheila on 7, added to the special nature of the evening.
LINE’s continuing efforts to reach out to its loyal users have gained a lot of positive responses from people across Indonesia. The first LINE Concert event, held in Surabaya in September, was recognized with a prestigious local award in the category of customer loyalty.
LINE Concert Medan similarly generated much enthusiasm, with the Brown VIP tickets selling out in under a week, and the entire event selling out within four weeks. LINE hopes to continue creating unique and memorable experiences for its loyal users across Indonesia in the weeks and months ahead.
