TOKYO – December 18, 2017 – LINE Corporation introduces "LINE Mileage," its second option for LINE SP Solutions, the in-store promotion solution that utilizes the LINE messenger app and related services.

 

LINE provides LINE SP Solutions as a solution specialized in promoting sales in stores. It is designed to reduce in-store operations, eliminate in-store POP (point-of-purchase displays), encourage participation in campaigns, and resolve the issue of understanding purchasing behaviors during in-store promotions, all while utilizing the LINE messenger app and related services.

 

For its second LINE SP Solutions option, LINE has launched its LINE Mileage campaign platform, which allows customers to enter in-store campaigns over LINE.

LINE Mileage allows customers to easily enter campaigns over LINE by scanning a unique QR code included with selected products purchased in-store, making it an optimal campaign platform to promote multiple- and repeat-purchases. Even businesses without a LINE Official Account can increase awareness of their campaign among LINE users by sharing it to Timeline – boasting a 65 million MAU* – when users enter. It is also possible to carry out follow-up promotions by optionally adding conditions of friending or unblocking an Official Account into the entry process. Several companies, including major beverage manufacturers, have already decided to implement this, and will be launching campaigns in turn in 2018.

Going forward, LINE SP Solutions will allow the entire process to take place over LINE – from the launch of the campaign, participation tracking, follow-up promotions, and announcements for the next plan. It will continue to grow as an all-encompassing solution specialized in carrying out in-store promotions, from understanding user behavior to reaching out to users individually.
