Fourth-consecutive year LINE has topped ranking for company revenue

 

TOKYO – Jan. 17, 2017 – The App Annie 2016 Retrospective report published today has named LINE Corporation the highest-earning non-game app publisher across iOS and Google Play platforms. This is the fourth consecutive year LINE has ranked first in this category.

 

In the annual report by the mobile analytics firm App Annie, LINE recorded several notable results:

 

• No. 1 in Top Companies of 2016: Worldwide Combined iOS and Google Play Apps Revenue

• No. 9 in Top Companies of 2016: Worldwide Combined iOS and Google Play Games Revenue

• No. 2 for LINE messaging app in Top Apps of 2016: Worldwide Combined iOS and Google Play Revenue

• No. 8 for LINE Manga e-comic app in Top Apps of 2016: Worldwide Combined iOS and Google Play Revenue

• No. 10 for LINE messaging app in Top Apps of 2016: Worldwide Android Phone Monthly Active Users 

 

For the Top Apps of 2016 category, LINE is the only company to have multiple apps appear in the top-10 rankings for three consecutive years.
