Tokyo, Japan – June 21, 2016 –Animated stickers are now available in the LINE Creators Market (https://creator.line.me/en/), enabling LINE users to create and sell their own animated stickers.
The LINE Creators Market began accepting registration submissions for animated stickers on June 20, 2016, which will be gradually rolled out for sale as their screening is completed. Creators can set animated sticker set prices at 100 Coins, 150 Coins, 200 Coins or 250 Coins using in-app currency, or, in the case of Japan, at JPY 240, JPY 360, JPY 480, or JPY 600 (equivalent price levels selectable in the respective currencies of other regions). After App Store or Google Play handling fees (30%) are deducted, creators receive 50% of remaining revenue (35% of total sales).*1

Since their official release in July 2014, animated stickers have been a resounding success with users, giving birth to a wide array of stickers using not only LINE characters but also famous IPs from other companies and brands. During this success, the company received an overwhelming number of requests to make animated stickers available to creators. Users will now finally be able to make*2 their own animated stickers, with a maximum of 4 seconds of playback, that will be even more expressive and varied than the standard creators stickers they have been able to create until now.

Creators are selling their animated stickers on the LINE Creators Market, a platform through which users can sell LINE stickers and themes they have created themselves through the main LINE app's sticker and theme shops as well as web-based LINE STORE (https://store.line.me/).*3 Since its launch in May 2014, participants have joined from all over the world, and as of today, the number of registered creators has grown to 570,000 users, who have created over 280,000 sticker sets and themes.
