Tokyo, Japan – May 2, 2014 – LINE Corporation, owner and operator of the free call and messaging app LINE, today announced the release of LINE Shake Spears!, a real-time jousting game created in cooperation with Russia-based game publisher Alawar Entertainment, for both iPhone and Android.

LINE Shake Spears! is LINE’s first collaboration with Alawar Entertainment, one of Eastern Europe’s largest game publishers.

LINE ShakeSpears! invites LINE users to joust their way through a medieval fantasy world. Players take on the role of knights and compete for glory in player vs. environment, player vs. friend, and player vs. player modes.
Campaign: Joust against knights throughout the in-game kingdom to win the princess.
Fight Friends: Joust with LINE friends. Real-time jousts are possible if friends are online.
Duel: Joust with players around the world in real time.
Players control their lances and shields by swiping on the left and right of the screen, defending themselves as they aim for their challenger’s weakest point. Players can also change their knight’s class to gain class-specific abilities and magic types, upgrade horses and weapons to gain strength, and use amulets to gain special abilities for extended time periods. Through the selection of classes, horses, armor, weapons, magic and amulets, each joust becomes a battle of wits and strategy.
